This signature steakhouse located in Central Park did not disappoint. My crab cake had a crispy crust with a moist stuffing filled with crab meat. The wagyu filet was tender and cooked to the ideal medium rare temperature. Though, these cuts do come at an up-charge to the standard cover charge to dine here. The food was always delivered well-plated and at the appropriate temperatures.

I spent my time there perched at one of its in-water loungers, contently splashing my legs around the water, wondering if I actually hated cruises. The 7,600-guest Icon of the Seas has seven pools and nine hot tubs. As a kid-fearing adult, I loved the grown-ups-only suspended infinity pool.

Phoenix rocked out the Music Hall with classic rock tribute shows. This venue was also home to a DJ and some parties and other activities later in the evening on select nights. Also, it wouldn’t be a Royal Caribbean ship without Sorrento’s serving up slices of pizza into the early morning hours. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Royal Caribbean cruise ship without a FlowRider.

Like Chops Grill, Windjammer can be found on every Royal Caribbean ship. Inside, you will find enough variety to satisfy any palate, as well as two bars. Starting off is the brand-new Surfside Eatery, a family-friendly buffet venue located inside the Surfside Neighborhood. This eatery will serve up kid-friendly cuisine, which is very convenient for parents who do not want to make the trip all the way to the Windjammer buffet. The Royal Promenade will also have the largest ice arena at sea called Absolute Zero, which will presumably house the ice shows that Royal Caribbean has been known for. For the first time, Izumi Hibachi and Sushi will be located in Central Park.

Cruise ships' public spaces are also prefabricated (and later drydock-assembled) and made by the subsidiary Shipbuilding Completion Oy (in Turku). The Royal Promenade has been a Royal Caribbean staple for many years; the first Royal Promenade debuted on Voyager class ships and continued with Freedom and Oasis-class ships. Designed for kids six years or younger, this is a popular water feature on many Royal Caribbean ships. For the adults, the Water’s Edge pool is behind this splash pad. This pool offers amazing aft views for you to enjoy while your little ones enjoy their own water playground. The Music Hall (dance lounge/disco nightclub introduced on QUANTUM-class RCI boats) is a 2-level venue (decks 3-4) and provides live music entertainment (band performances daily and DJs in the evenings).
In the Surfside neighborhood, there are two more casual, complimentary dining options. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there is a dedicated kids menu and some options for the adults. Some of the fan favorite items include the lasagna bites and taquitos.
On the Royal Promenade is hosted RCI's traditional family-themed parade "Ships Ahoy!". Unlike on all previous RCI ships with a Royal Promenade, Icon OTS' Royal Promenade has a dog statue instead of a classic car/vintage automobile. Signage boards provide detailed information on all Central Park's trees and plants.

The ceremony was attended by Richard Fain (RCG's Chairman and CEO), Michael Bayley (RCI's President and CEO), and Tim Meyer (Meyer Turku's CEO). The same yard also built RCI's first two OASIS-class boats - Oasis OTS (2009) and Allure OTS (2010). ICON ships have volume ~ GT-tons and DWT deadweight ~13500 tons.
